#1 2025 Mclaren 750S
Since McLaren introduced the MP4-12C back in 2011, they’ve come a long way, and so have their buyers!
At the recent U.S. launch for the 750S, Nicolas Brown, who leads McLaren in the Americas, revealed some exciting news: most McLarens are now custom-made. That’s a big shift from just 15% of cars being custom a while back. Now, about 70-80% of McLarens are getting personalized touches!
So, what’s special about the 750S? Well, it’s designed to be lighter and faster. McLaren has used lighter materials like a new exhaust and wheels to shave off weight. They’ve even borrowed some tech from the 765LT to make the 750S even more responsive. While it might look similar to the 720S, it packs more power.
One of the coolest things about the 750S is how McLaren focused on making it lighter. You can choose extra options like carbon fiber parts to make it even lighter. For example, if you go for the right options, the coupe version can be around 108 pounds lighter than the spider version.
Under the hood, the 750S features a powerful 740-horsepower engine with 590 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven-speed gearbox. We had a chance to test the coupe on a track in Portugal, and it zoomed from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds! The suspension, inspired by McLaren’s Senna model, helps keep the car stable and agile on twisty roads.
Inside, the 750S is all about luxury and simplicity. It comes with Alcantara upholstery as standard, but you can upgrade to leather if you like. The infotainment system includes climate control and Apple CarPlay, though Android Auto isn’t available.
The car rides on Pirelli P Zero summer tires, but if you’re more into track driving, there are other tire options. The wheels are sized differently—smaller 19-inch wheels in the front and larger 20-inch ones in the back. The EPA estimates it gets around 15 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway.
So, if you’re dreaming of parking a 2025 McLaren 750S in your garage, be prepared to spend at least $308,195. And with some added options, the price can go up to $324,195.
#2 2025 Lotus Evija
Introducing the Lotus Evija, a hypercar that’s redefining electric performance! This beauty is all about power, with a staggering 1972 horsepower and 1254 pound-feet of torque from its four electric motors. That’s almost double the power of other top hypercars like the Aston Martin Valkyrie. All that muscle is sent to all four wheels through an automatic transmission, giving you a ride like no other.
Even though every Evija has been sold, Lotus is still busy finishing up and delivering the 2025 models. Don’t expect any changes from last year’s specs—they’re sticking with the same incredible setup.
Engine Performance Overview
Despite being electric, the Evija offers hydraulic steering for a connected driving feel, especially at high speeds. And while the prototype didn’t have all the bells and whistles like active aerodynamics and torque vectoring, it still showed off over 1600 horsepower and its incredible speed.
So, what makes the Evija so special? It can go from 0 to 186 mph in under 9 seconds and reach a top speed of over 200 mph. And get this—it’s not just quick; it’s also super lightweight, weighing just over 3700 pounds. This makes it the lightest electric hypercar ever, enhancing its handling and performance. It can zoom from 0 to 62 mph in under three seconds!
Charging times for electric cars can be a drag, but the Evija is different. It charges up to 80% in just 12 minutes and a full charge takes only 18 minutes. Plus, it can travel 250 miles on a single charge—pretty impressive for an electric car!
Inside, the Evija is designed for two people and features doors that open upwards. No traditional door handles here; you open them with a key fob, adding to its sleek look. There’s even a switch inside to close the doors.
Pricing
If you’re lucky enough to snag a 2025 Lotus Evija, be ready to shell out around $2.3 million. It’s a jaw-dropping price, but this hypercar is all about pushing boundaries and delivering an unmatched driving experience
